Shy started as an MPC beat experiment with some new synthesizer patches. It had such a light-hearted feel that made me think of love — specifically a crush. I loved musicals growing up and feel influences like Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke throughout the song. I don’t set out to create for any specific genre…it’s where spirit takes me.
