Spend A Lil time started as a loop I actually forgot about. I was messing around with virtual synth KORG Triton and there was a preset called Chipper Dayglow. I built the beat around a chord progression. I’d been writing a song about someone not having time for about a year and it finally all came together on this track. It originally had a short rap but I scrapped it in favor of a breakdown.
